Youth Groups

Launceston Amateur Dramatic Society is the oldest drama group in Cornwall and our site covers our Business Partnership, History, Membership, Productions, What’s New and Youth Groups.  We hope you find it informative and use it to keep abreast of regular news and features.
The drama group has an adult section and two youth groups for 7 to 11 and 12 to 18 years.  We aim to have 3 to 4 productions a year in addition there are entries to play festivals such as the All England Play Festivals.
We have a strong business partnership, support from local businesses enables Launceston Amateur Dramatic Society to maintain community support for local youth and improve facilities. In return we provide our Business Partners with complementary tickets, advertising in programmes, and our publicity material and on this website. Membership is open to all ages and we have a modest annual fee, in addition the Youth Groups pay a weekly attendance fee to help defray the cost of hiring premises and tutor workshops.
Regular updates are covered in what’s new section and include rehearsal and audition schedules as well as weekly meetings and social activities.
Over the years our productions have ranged from operatic productions, plays, musicals and pantomimes and we aim to produce a balanced range to give variety to our local audiences. In our productions section you will see the variety of quality productions and an ever-changing photo album.
The drama groups meet weekly and in general the adults meet at the Green Room adjacent to Launceston Town Hall and can include play readings, drama workshops, reviews and social events. Due to groups sizes and activities the Youth Groups use a combination of facilities of the Green Room and the Methodist Hall.
Currently we have productions in the planning stage looking 2 years ahead and there are plenty of opportunities for new and existing members to take part.  It may be your interests do not cover acting, so why not get involved back stage or front of house.

Why not come and join us. See Membership   For information contact:
